That wall of Funko Pops in your spare room? Most of them are worth about what you paid — $12 to $15. Some are worth less. But scattered among the commons, there might be a figure worth $500, $5,000, or in a few wild cases, more than a used car.

The Funko Pop market is unpredictable. A figure nobody cared about three years ago can spike overnight when a character shows up in a new show or movie. Convention exclusives that sold out in minutes can be worth thousands a year later. And then some “limited edition” figures drop in value the second you open the box.

Here’s what’s actually worth money right now.

These are the Funko Pops that make collectors sweat. Most of them were produced in quantities under 25 and given away at events. If you have one, you probably already know.

Only 12 made. Given to SDCC 2013 attendees who won a Funko lottery. The glow-in-the-dark Ghost Rider Freddy Funko is the most expensive Pop that regularly trades hands. Some listings have hit $35,000.

Another SDCC lottery prize, limited to 12 pieces. The Marvel crossover with the Freddy mascot makes this a double-collector magnet — Funko completionists AND Marvel collectors both want it.

Limited to 12 pieces. The base Clockwork Orange Pop was already vaulted and valuable, but the glow-in-the-dark chase variant is in another dimension entirely. One sold for $60,000 in 2022, though recent sales have settled around $22,000-$25,000.

24 pieces. The cereal mascot crossover that nobody expected to become a $20,000 collectible. Funko + nostalgia + low production = insane values.

25 pieces, given out at SDCC between 2011 and 2013. Disney + Pixar + Funko mascot + glow-in-the-dark + under 25 made = the perfect storm.

The first major Dragon Ball Z grail. This NYCC 2014 exclusive was limited production and has only gone up over the years as the anime collecting community has grown. One of the few non-Freddy Pops in the five-figure range.

From A Clockwork Orange. The vaulted chase variant with a distinct paint job. The regular version is already worth several hundred — the chase is worth ten times more.

480 pieces — “massive” by Freddy Funko standards, but still tiny by normal Pop production volumes. Star Wars + Funko mascot = collectors fighting over a very small pool.

A signed metallic Stan Lee Pop. The signature alone adds thousands to any Funko, and Stan Lee figures have only become more valuable since his passing in 2018.

One of the early Star Wars Pops, given out at SDCC 2012. The holographic variant is instantly recognizable and has been climbing steadily for years.

You don’t need a $10,000 grail to have valuable Pops. Check your shelves for:

Vaulted figures from popular franchises. “Vaulted” means Funko stopped making it. A common Pop that gets vaulted can jump from $12 to $50-$200 if the character stays relevant. Vaulted Disney villains, vaulted anime characters, and vaulted horror figures tend to climb the most.

Convention exclusives from 2012-2018. SDCC, NYCC, and ECCC exclusives from the early Funko years had much smaller production runs than today’s releases. If you bought any during that window and kept them boxed, check the current values.

Chase variants you forgot about. Chase Pops have a different paint job or pose and a “Chase” sticker on the box. They’re packed roughly 1 in 6 in cases. Some chases from popular lines are worth 5-20x the common version.

First appearances. The first Pop ever made of a character tends to hold value better than subsequent versions. The original Mandalorian Pop is worth more than the 15 variants that came after it.

Quick check on specific figures: Search eBay for the Pop name + “sold listings.” Filter by “Sold Items” to see actual sale prices, not wishlisting asking prices.
